PATIENT WAS BROUGHT TO M E WITH excessive swelling all over body. And face. urine scanty. 30 ml at a time for 2-3 times per day. History of repeated illness with common cold, cough pneumonia.Diagnosed as nephrotic syndrome by a well-known nephrologists in Miraj. She was on steroids omnacortyl 40mg ,1od . for last 3 yrs. Urine contains plenty pus cells & albumin ++++ Treatment begin on 23/1/06
Follow up on 1/3/06
No illness last month Swelling on abdomen, legs & face reduced now looks well, eats well. Urine passes frequently & profuse.
Approximately 50ml at a time. Dose of omnacortyl tapered to 20 mg per day.
Follow up on 31/03/06 -
Swelling is reduced urine output approximately. 70 ml at time. no illness last month. Treatment c.t. all Follow up 02/04/06- Swelling of abdomen and face slightly increased. Omnacortyl tapered to 10 mg od
Follow up 8/05/06-
vomiting for 2-3 days with fever for 3 days pain in abdomen occasionally. Treatment ct all.
Follow up 20/06/06
Follow up not regular vomiting once urine output increased up to 100 ml at a time.Advised to stop omnacortyl
Follow up 19/07/06-
Swelling of abdomen persist swelling of eyelids reduced.Headache once in month. Otherwise fills better.
Follow up 21/08/06-
Swelling totally gone no completes last month.Regular follow up monthly
Follow up 30/4/07-
Urticarial rashes last month no other completes. Urine examination on . Albumin ++
On 19/09/07
Urine albumin absent no complaint Regular follow up monthly
On 1/11/07-
no complaints no swelling looks totally well & all right urine albumin absent.
Follow up 6/12/07
Urine albumin absent no complaints. Advised to stop the treatment.
Follow up 20/05/08
No Complaints No swelling. Patient looks & feels totally well
Urine Albumin absent. Patient totally cured.
